“I don’t rest until our team has found the perfect match for our clients’ open positions. I never settle for a good candidate because I know the best candidate is out there.”

With more than 25 years in the not-for-profit arena, Marci brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to your executive search. She began her career as the CFO for a Florida social services agency and was recruited back to that organization several years later to lead a financial turnaround. She built a highly effective team, expanded her scope of responsibilities to include HR, IT and Risk Management and left the organization in better shape than she found it. She went on to successfully lead another nonprofit through a significant financial crisis, rebuilding the community’s trust during her tenure.

Ready for a new challenge, Marci joined forces with Pam Williams and created Nonprofit Finance Pros (formerly Nonprofit Financial Management Solutions) to focus on providing turnaround strategy consulting for organizations in financial transition or crisis, concluding most projects by hiring highly-qualified financial leaders. Over the past 16 years, she has developed a proven search process, sourcing candidates with the perfect blend of skills, talent and experience to meet the needs of her client organizations while simultaneously developing an extensive network of financial professionals. She is committed to helping your organization hire not only the best talent, but also the person who is the best fit for your unique culture and mission. She thinks of herself as a matchmaker – connecting organizations making a positive impact in the world with passionate, brilliant financial professionals.

Although Marci tends to be the quietest member of our team, she is direct and to the point. Because she wants to make sure you have the information you need to make the best possible hiring decisions, she will always tell you what you NEED to hear, even if it isn’t what you WANT to hear.

Marci has provided career and executive coaching for the American Society of Association Executives, the Center for American Nurses, the Association for Women in Science and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and has facilitated programs for the University of South Florida Professional and Workforce Development and Get on Board, a training program for prospective board members.

Marci loves working with nonprofits so much that she once turned down a very lucrative offer from a multi-millionaire and his wife to manage their investments. While the offer was tempting, if only for a few minutes, she remembers thinking, “where’s the challenge in THAT?” Instead, she volunteered to help the couple start a nonprofit that is thriving today.

In her spare time, Marci enjoys spending time with her family, long-distance cycling, kayaking, volunteering, walking the beach, hiking, reading, a great game of Scrabble and traveling to new places around the world. She regularly participates in fund-raising bicycle rides for the American Diabetes Association.

“I am always looking for resources, connections and tools that will help my clients be even more successful.”

Very early in Pam’s nonprofit career, she was appointed to an Interim Executive Director role in an organization facing a significant financial crisis. She reorganized the finance & accounting area to be leaner and more effective, worked closely with the board to re-establish credibility with donors and funders and helped board and staff leadership make the difficult decisions that were required for the organization to survive.

While building a new team during the transition, Pam developed a customized assessment tool to ensure that individuals could demonstrate the skills required rather than relying solely on resumes, interviews and reference checks. Today, this assessment tool is the backbone of our Search Process, and the first person she hired using the tool continues to be a valuable contributor to the organization (17 years later).

Building on her business turnaround success, Pam joined forces with Marci Moore to begin Nonprofit Finance Pros (formerly Nonprofit Financial Management Solutions) to focus on providing turnaround strategy consulting for organizations in financial transition or crisis, concluding most projects by hiring highly-qualified financial leaders. Pam is an integral part of our search team, and also serves as our lead career coach. Having reviewed thousands of resumes and interviewed hundreds of candidates over the past 16 years, today she is passionate about helping nonprofit and association professionals confidently articulate their unique skills and strengths and find positions in that sweet spot where their talents align with an organization’s mission, vision and culture.

Pam has provided career and executive coaching for individuals and the American Society of Association Executives, the Center for American Nurses, the Association for Women in Science and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and facilitated programs for the University of South Florida Professional and Workforce Development and Get on Board, a training program for prospective board members.

Pam combines her love of cycling and a cause she cares deeply about by regularly participating in fundraising rides for the American Diabetes Association.
